Contracts Designed for Interior Designers

If you’re a new interior designer, contracts can feel like a minefield. Most templates out there are written for “any business”, which means they miss the realities of client revisions, sourcing, timelines, and all the moving parts of a design project.

Our contracts are different. They’re created with interior designers in mind, giving you proper protection, clear boundaries, and total peace of mind from day one. No more Googling. No more second guessing. Just plug in your details and use them again and again.

faq

Both contracts cover the key areas you’d expect: services and scope of work, fees and payment terms, third-party products and services (including when you act as agent versus principal), intellectual property, data protection, insurance and liability, and termination. The residential contract is written for consumer clients and includes statutory cooling-off rights under UK consumer law. The commercial contract is tailored for business clients and includes additional provisions such as FF&E procurement warranties and a capped liability clause. Both contracts include options for taking on the Principal Designer role under CDM Regulations.

Yes, absolutely. All of our contracts and templates are designed to be purchased once and reused across as many projects as you need. You generate a new contract and customise them for each client, making them bespoke to each project you work on.

The CDM templates are designed to help you stay compliant with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations when working on projects that involve construction elements. If you’re acting as a Principal Designer or Contractor under CDM, then these templates give you the essential documents you need to stay protected and compliant.
